Q. Do you offer payment plans?
A. Ellett Law Offices offers payment plans on a case by case basis. Some restrictions apply.

Q. Will Bankruptcy ruin my credit forever?
A. Bankruptcy will not ruin your credit forever. Many people who file bankruptcy are able to qualify for loans and credit cards shortly after their case is dismissed.

Q. If I file bankruptcy will creditors stop calling me?
A. Yes they will. If you include a creditor in your bankruptcy, after filing it is illegal for that creditor to continue attempting to collect the debt from you.

Q. Can I get fired from my job for filing a bankruptcy?
A. No, 11 U.S.C. Sec. 525, prohibits any employer from discriminating against you for filing bankruptcy.

Q: Can I handle my own bankruptcy
A: While it is legally permissible for you to handle your own case it is generally a very bad idea. This is because 97% of debtors who represent themselves in Chapter 13 bankruptcies have their cases dismissed. In a chapter 7, if you mishandle your own case you could lose your home or other property.

Q: What is your most common fee?
A: Our most common fee for chapter 7 is $1700. Fees may vary based on the particular circumstances of your case.
